Attorney Madis Abel specialises and advises clients mainly in the areas of corporate and contract law and in resolving various disputes. Madis has assisted clients in complex disputes related to lease, employment, and sales agreements, as well as financing for acquiring company ownership.

Madis obtained a master’s degree in the Faculty of Law at the University of Tartu. His master’s thesis was recognised by the university and awarded the Ministry of Finance’s special prize in the field of finance and tax policy at the 2022 national student research competition organised by the Estonian Research Council. His master’s thesis was titled „Liability of the guarantee beneficiary in the case of the guarantee beneficiary knowingly being in breach of the regulation on lending prohibition when receiving the guarantee“ and he analysed whether and how a public limited company can defend itself against a guarantee beneficiary in a situation where the guarantee beneficiary knowingly or due to gross negligence breaches the regulation on lending prohibition.

In addition to law, Madis is dedicated to ballroom dancing and he is a nine-time Estonian champion in standard dances.
