Liis Kikas assists attorneys mainly in dispute resolution, general contract and company law and family law matters.
Liis holds a bachelor’s degree from the Faculty of Law of the University of Tartu and is pursuing a master’s degree at the University of Tartu. During her studies, Liis has improved her knowledge in Germany at the University of Konstanz, at the University of Mannheim, at the University of Göttingen, and in Austria at the European Private Law Summer School in Salzburg.
In 2023, Liis was awarded Swedbank AS scholarship and in 2022 she was the first recipient of the Henn Jõks Memorial Fund scholarship.
Liis has represented Estonia at the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot Court Competition and in 2018, she with her team won the Fairy Tale Moot Court Competition organised by The European Law Students’ Association (ELSA) Estonia.
Since autumn 2023, Liis has been a family law seminar instructor at the University of Tartu.
Before joining NOVE, Liis practiced at the Supreme Court, Harju County Court and the law firm Ellex Raidla.
