On 12th of November 2021 NOVE’s counsel Indrek Niklus lectured members of the Estonian Chamber of Bailiffs and Trustees in Bankruptcy on the latest practice of the land register. The lecture covered the court decisions of the circuit courts published since 2019, concerning the work and practice of the land register. Various legal problems related to the entry of a preliminary notation in the land register were analyzed. For example, it was analyzed whether the notation concerning extension of deadline could also be added to the entered preliminary notation and in what form the extension of usufruct established during the land reform or the deletion of the mortgages entered in the land register to secure the claims of the Estonian Tax and Customs Board should take place.
