Attorney-at-law Maris Vutt, PhD has joined NOVE team. Maris specializes in the field of corporate law, advising clients on various issues of corporate governance and operation.
Maris specializes in the field of corporate law, advising clients on various issues of corporate governance and business operation. She also represents clients in corporate litigation, having long-standing and extensive experience in disputes related to the liability of members of managing bodies, the exercise of shareholders’ rights and challenging shareholder resolutions. Both consulting and litigation provide Maris with an all-inclusive view when advising clients and allow her to consider and regulate potential concerns before disputes arise in order to prevent disputes. Having represented clients in significant disputes that have shaped Estonian case law, Maris also deals with areas related to corporate law, such as insolvency law and contract law.
In addition to her work as a lawyer, Maris has been teaching company law course at the University of Tartu since 2020. Maris obtained a PhD degree from the University of Tartu in 2024 and her research focused on the possibilities of using digital solutions in the exercise of shareholders’ rights.
