NOVE contributed to the preparation of a comparative handbook “Real Estate Law and Financing in CEE”

The Handbook provides a comprehensive overview of real estate law in Central and Eastern Europe. The book covers a total of 16 countries – Albania, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia and Ukraine, as well as the Baltic countries – Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania.

The Handbook provides an overview of ownership and tenancy relations for all these countries, as well as permits required for construction and financing of real estate transactions. It is a practical aid for real estate developers, lenders and investors who wish to operate in these countries.

The Estonian chapter of the Handbook was compiled by NOVE’s Construction and Real Estate Law practice area Legal Counsel Kristiina Koll in cooperation with the international law firm Wolf Theiss. The compilation of the collection was led by Peter Oberlechner, partner at Wolf Theiss Austria.
