{"id":10441,"date":"2022-11-15T14:37:00","date_gmt":"2022-11-15T12:37:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.nove.ee\/?p=10441"},"modified":"2022-11-24T14:37:53","modified_gmt":"2022-11-24T12:37:53","slug":"ministry-of-justice-issues-letter-of-appreciation-recognising-noves-legal-experts-for-work-on-review-of-corporate-law-and-insolvency-law","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nove.ee\/en\/ministry-of-justice-issues-letter-of-appreciation-recognising-noves-legal-experts-for-work-on-review-of-corporate-law-and-insolvency-law\/","title":{"rendered":"Ministry of Justice issues letter of appreciation recognising NOVE\u2019s legal experts for work on review of corporate law and insolvency law"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>On the occasion of the Estonian Jurists\u2019 Days 2022, the Minister of Justice awarded a letter of appreciation to NOVE\u2019s attorneys and legal experts for their contribution to the review of corporate law and insolvency law, which sought to thoroughly analyse and clarify relevant legislation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nove.ee\/en\/team\/arsi-pavelts\/\">Arsi Pavelts<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nove.ee\/en\/team\/heili-puumann\/\">Heili P\u00fc\u00fcmann<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nove.ee\/en\/team\/indrek-niklus\/\">Indrek Niklus<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nove.ee\/en\/team\/laura-raadik\/\">Laura Raadik<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nove.ee\/en\/team\/katrin-kalda\/\">Katrin Kalda<\/a> all received a letter of appreciation for their contribution to the working group on the review of corporate law.\u00a0 The purpose of the review was to clarify corporate law and bring it up to date (in particular the Commercial Code) to make the legal order more transparent and straightforward for those applying the law. As part of the review, corporate law was subjected to full systemic analysis and proposals were made to supplement and update legislation. Work efforts resulted in a nearly 1,000-page analysis-concept based not only on Estonian law, but also on a large collection of legislation and legal literature from reference countries. This paper also includes about 50 pages of fundamental proposals for the further development of Estonian corporate law.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nove.ee\/en\/team\/veiko-vaske\/\">Veiko Vaske<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nove.ee\/en\/team\/indrek-niklus\/\">Indrek Niklus<\/a> received a letter of appreciation for their contribution to the working group on the review of insolvency law.
