NOVE advised Danpower Eesti AS on the acquisition, distribution and sale of district heating in Puiga

NOVE advised Danpower Eesti AS in the transaction, as a result of which Danpower, as a purchaser will take over the production, distribution and sale of district heating to Puiga. For the purpose of supplying Puiga with heat, the existing boiler house will be connected to the Danpower Võrusoo control center, which will allow to control the boiler house from Võru.

“Since Puiga is located near Võru, the heat supply to Puiga fits well with the Danpower group because we have been in Võru for a long time. We are pleased to offer high quality district heating services to Puiga residents now,” explains Markus Süßmann, member of the board of Danpower Eesti AS.

Danpower specialists have over 20 years of experience in supplying heat to the city of Võru. From now on, the company will start using its experience and skills also in Puiga. Danpower’s goal is to provide heat to people and businesses in Puiga. During the first year, it is planned to get to know the peculiarities of heat supply in the village of Puiga in order to make more specific development plans for the future.

Advising the transaction on behalf of NOVE involved conducting a legal due diligence of the district heating network as a technical facility and land plots, and drafting the transaction structure and documentation. The transaction was advised by NOVE’s attorney-at-law Heili Püümann and partner Urmas Volens.
